Public input sought at informational meeting on proposed County V updates

Fond du Lac County residents will have an opportunity to learn more about plans to reconstruct County V, also known as Rienzi Road, in the city of Fond du Lac.

The county and city will hold a public involvement meeting Thursday, November 12th, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Highway Department on South Hickory Street.

The proposed project would reconstruct the existing roadway from about 350 feet east of the roundabout at National Avenue east to U-S 151.

Plans call for an urban roadway design with curb and gutter, sidewalks, street lighting, storm sewer improvements, and adjustments to the water main and sanitary sewer.

A brief presentation is scheduled for about 5:15, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Draft plans and maps will be available for review, and project representatives will be there to answer questions and hear public comments.
