Public involvement meeting tonight scheduled for Oakfield Main Street construction

Fond du Lac County, in conjunction with the Village of Oakfield, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, will host a public involvement meeting tonight to present proposed improvements for County Highway Y, also known as Main Street in Oakfield.
The improvements would be taking place between County Highways B and D, or Waupun Street and Church Street, and are currently scheduled for 2026.
The purpose of the project is to address deteriorating pavement, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main. Proposed improvements would include reconstructing the existing roadway, including curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main.
The section of County Y being improved will be closed to through traffic during the construction.
The public involvement meeting takes place from 5:00 to 6:30 pm tonight at the Village of Oakfield Village Hall at 130 N. Main Street, in Oakfield.
