Railroad safety campaign runs through Sunday

This week is See Tracks? Think Train! Week — a national railroad safety campaign running through Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The campaign is aimed at reminding drivers, pedestrians and others to make safe decisions around railroad tracks and trains.

Operation Lifesaver says the week focuses on preventing railroad crossing and trespassing incidents and increasing awareness of rail safety. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the nationwide campaign.

For drivers approaching a railroad crossing, slow down, look and listen, and never try to beat a train through a crossing.
