Retail theft suspects captured in Fond du Lac County

Some retail theft suspects from Madison found out crime doesn’t pay in Fond du Lac County Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The suspects were seen shoplifting in the Fox Cities area early Saturday afternoon but were able to get away without being caught. The vehicle was last seen south on I-41 and Fond du Lac County was made aware of the situation.
Using the Flock camera system, the vehicle was seen entering the City of Fond du Lac on Johnson Street. Officers swarmed the area looking for the vehicle and it was spotted leaving the Kohls parking lot.
The driver briefly tried to get away but with multiple sheriff and city cruisers on its tail, the driver pulled over on 41 near military road.
Stolen merchandise was found in the vehicle from Kohls in Fond du Lac and Ulta in Appleton. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Police say they filled two Kohl’s-branded bags with merchandise valued at $1,725, and left without paying.
The driver, a 40-year-old woman from Madison, was arrested for felony retail theft. She also faces additional charges related to the pursuit. The passenger, a 26-year-old woman, also from Madison, was arrested for felony retail theft and is currently being held by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole.
