Rollover crash closes Highway 45 for 4 hours

A one vehicle crash closed Highway 45 for several hours Thursday, September 17, 2026, between Fond du Lac and Oshkosh.

At around 4:20 p.m., The Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders and Southern Winnebago EMS, responded to a rollover crash on Highway 45, just south of Country Club Road, south of Oshkosh.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found a vehicle rolled onto it’s side in the ditch, and a power pole that had been sheared off with wires hanging low across the road.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was able to self extricate from the vehicle and had minor injuries, but due to the downed wires, the road needed to be closed for several hours to allow the power company to fix the pole.

The roadway was re-opened at 8 p.m.
