Scott Street to close at railroad crossing for one week starting Monday April 28

Starting Monday morning, Scott Street will be closed at the railroad tracks to allow crews to do some needed work in the area.
The closure will begin at 7:00 am and remain closed for one week, re-opening to traffic Tuesday, May 6. The railroad crossing will be closed so Canadian National can make an emergency repair at the location.
It’s unknown if this is the concern, but the crossing has been plagued with issues lately where the crossing arms will activate sporadically when no train is approaching.
There will be a signed detour route to get around the closed portion which will utilize Hickory Street – Johnson Street – Main Street.
