Seasons first accumulating snow expected Saturday night
While not much, the area could see it’s first snowfall accumulation later tonight, Saturday, November 8, 2025.
An area of low pressure is forecast to move through the area, centered around the middle of Illinois. This would place the colder part of the storm in southern Wisconsin.
Precipitation will start as rain later this evening, but as night falls and temperatures cool, rain will mix with and change to snow tonight.
Only about an inch will fall with little to no accumulations on roads, as they should stay just warm enough to melt any snow, though bridges and overpasses could see some slippery spots.
Motorists are urged to use caution as the first snow can catch some drivers off guard after months of driving without snow.
