Semi vs SUV crash restricts traffic on I-41 Thursday morning

Authorities in Fond du Lac County responded to a semi vs SUV crash on I-41 early Thursday morning, January 29, 2026, on the north side of Fond du Lac County.

At about 4 a.m., the Eldorado Fire Department and First Responders and North Fond du Lac Ambulance, as well as deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to I-41 near Lincoln Road for the crash.

The driver of the SUV was the caller to the dispatch center, and he stated he was injured and trapped in the vehicle.

Officers on scene were able to extricate the driver before fire and ambulance personnel arrived, and they stated he had a head laceration along with chest and back pain.

The highway was able to stay open during the duration of the crash investigation, however one lane was restricted.

No information has been released at this time on how the crash occurred.
