Short pursuit into City of Fond du Lac ends with driver in custody

One person is in custody this morning after a brief pursuit in Fond du Lac County.

Just after 4 AM, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled a vehicle over for a speeding violation on Highway 23 near County Highway K, just east of the City of Fond du Lac. After initially pulling over, the vehicle took off westbound, into the City of Fond du Lac, running multiple red lights, with the deputy in pursuit.

A City of Fond du Lac Police Officer was successfully able to deploy a tire deflation device at the intersection of Park and Johnson, and the vehicle was stopped a few blocks later near Amory Street, where the driver, a 52-year-old man from Plymouth, was taken into custody.
