Special election needed to fill judge vacancy in Lakeside Municipal Court
A Special Election is being called for Lakeside Municipal Court Judge to fill the vacancy, caused by the resignation of Jerry Jaye, for the remainder of the term expiring on April 30, 2027. The Special Election will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025. If a primary is needed, it will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Candidates for the office MUST reside in a municipality that is served by the Multi-Jurisdictional Municipal Court and can begin circulating nomination papers on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. All completed candidacy paperwork for ballot access MUST be filed in the Office of Fond du Lac County Clerk by 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The municipalities included in the Lakeside Municipal Court include:
Fond du Lac County municipalities – Towns of Auburn, Calumet, Empire, Fond du Lac, Friendship, Oakfield, Osceola, Ripon, Taycheedah, Villages of Brandon, Campbellsport, Eden, Fairwater, North Fond du Lac, Oakfield, St. Cloud and Cities of Fond du Lac and Ripon.
Green Lake County municipalities – Cities of Berlin, Green Lake, Markesan and Princeton.
Sheboygan County municipality – Town of Wilson.
Waushara County municipality – City of Berlin.
