Benson’s Season Over
Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced on Thursday that running back Cedric Benson’s season is over. Benson had surgery to help repair his broken foot ending his year. Benson had 248 yards on 71 carries before getting hurt in early October. That leaves Green Bay with James Stark and Alex Green as the only healthy tailbacks. The Packers host the Vikings on Sunday. Coverage begins at 10am with the kickoff set for Noon on KFIZ.
McMillian Fined
Packers rookie safety Jerron McMillian was fined $21,500 by the NFL for a hit on Giants tight end Marcellus Bennett on Sunday. Tight end Ryan Taylor was fined the same amount a few weeks ago for a block in the Arizona game on special teams that didn’t draw a flag.
Thursday Night Football
The Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints 23-13 on Thursday Night Football. Saints QB Drew Brees threw five interceptions and had his NFL record streak of throwing a TD pass in 54 straight games snapped. The Falcons are now 11-1. The Saints drop to 5-7.
Badgers Big Ten Title Game
Wisconsin is gearing up for Nebraska in the Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday night at Indianapolis. You’ll hear it on KFIZ. Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff set for 7:15pm.
Louisville Earns BCS Bid
The Louisville football team edged Rutgers 20-17 to earn the Big East’s spot in a BCS Bowl.
Marquette Hammered
Florida thumped Marquette 82-49 in the Big East-SEC Challenge on Thursday night. Vander Blue led Marquette with 20 points. The Golden Eagles are now 5-2 on the season.

The Fond du Lac boys basketball team hosts Kaukauna tonight. You’ll hear all the action on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ. Coverage begins at 7pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show. The tip is set for 7:30pm.

Max Whealon 1:08.74 in back – dropped 4.37 sec. Klayton Porter: 100 breast – 1:17.14 dropped 2.20 sec. and career best time.
