Super Bowl Is Set

It will be the Harbaugh Bowl in New Orleans on February 3rd.  Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers rallied from a 17-0 first half deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game.  Frank Gore’s 9 yard TD run with 8:23 left in the 4th quarter proved to be the game winner for the 49ers.  On the AFC side John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens took care of New England 28-13 in Foxboro.  The Ravens trailed 13-7 ad the break and Joe Flacco threw 3 2nd half TD passes to punch their ticket to New Orleans.  Patriots QB Tom Brady had been 67-0 at home during his career when leading at the half.  So it’s the Ravens and 49ers in Super Bowl 47.  You’ll hear that game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Sitton Heads To Hawaii

With San Francisco going to the Super Bowl,  the NFC Pro Bowl roster was adjusted to remove the six 49ers on the team.  Packers guard Josh Sitton was a first alternate and he will now be going to Hawaii. You’ll hear the Pro Bowl Sunday night on KFIZ.

Kings on the Move

It looks like the Sacramento Kings will be on the move again.  Reports say an ownership group from Seattle will buy the team and move it to the city and rename it the SuperSonics.  The Kings started in Rochester as the Royals, then moved to Cincinnati.  After that, they became the Kansas City-Omaha Kings, the just the Kansas City Kings, before moving to Sacramento.  Seattle lost the original Sonics franchise in 2008 when the moved to Oklahoma City.
