Packers Host Cardinals

The Packers welcome the Arizona Cardinals to Lambeau Field.  Green Bay looks for their 4th straight win heading into the Bye.  Green Bay is 5-3 on the season while Arizona is 4-4.  LB Frank Zombo has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list and is eligible to play today. He has been out all season with a hamstring injury.  Coverage begins at 10am with the kickoff set for Noon on KFIZ.

Bucks 2-0

Brandon Jennings drilled a three pointer at the buzzer giving the Bucks a 105-102 win over the Cleveland Cavs on Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Jennings finished with 13 points and 13 assists.  Mike Dunleavy led the way with 29 points.  Monta Ellis had 23 win the win. 

Ledgers Advance

The St. Mary’s Springs Academy football team advanced to the WIAA Division Six State Semifinals with a 24-0 win over Shiocton at Fruth Field on Saturday night. The Ledgers took a 3-0 lead at the 8:42 mark of the first quarter when Mitch Herron connected on a 32 yard field. That came off of a Shiocton turnover when their return man fumble a punt. At the 7:52 mark of the 2nd quarter, the Ledgers got on the board again when Evan Henderson hit Ryan Grandlic up the left sideline for a 24-yard score to make it 10-0. Grandlic made it 17-0 at the 1:06 mark of the 3rd quarter when he picked off his 2nd pass of the night and weaved his way to the end zone for a 62 yard TD. The Ledgers final score of the night came with 2:36 left in the fourth quarter when Henderson hit Eric Feldner for a 22 yard TD. The win improves St. Mary’s Springs to 11-0 on the season. They will travel to Middleton next weekend for a Division Six State Semifinal matchup with Iowa-Grant who beat Darlington 32-15. That games date and kickoff time has not yet been determined.

Girls Swimming and Diving

Fond du Lac’s girls swimming and diving team was 13th at the Neenah Sectional on Saturday.  Highlights: Courtney Stubbe: 50 free: 25.31 3rd fastest in Fondy history behind only Elise Drewsen’s Junior and Senior Years. 100 Free: 55.25 4th fastest in Fondy History behind Elise Drewsen and Jennifer Kedinger.
