SSM Health Adult Day Services in Fond du Lac celebrates 40 years

SSM Health Adult Day Services in Fond du Lac is celebrating 40 years of helping older adults remain active and independent while providing support for caregivers.

The program marked the anniversary with a special time capsule ceremony recognizing its history.

It first opened March 17th, 1986, as St. Agnes Hospital Adult Day Care, serving just two to five clients each day.

Over the years, the program expanded its services, added accessible transportation and moved into larger facilities.

Today, Adult Day Services provides both medical and social support for adults with complex health needs. The goal is to help people remain safely in their homes and communities longer while also giving family caregivers some additional support.
