SWAT team called to Manitowoc domestic incident Sunday
A 42-year-old Manitowoc man is in custody after a domestic violence incident Sunday, March 29, 2026, that drew a response from a SWAT team due to the man firing a rifle during the incident.
Manitowoc Police responded to the 5100 block of Expo Drive for a report of a man physically assaulting a female there. Police say while the assault was ongoing, the man held a rifle near the women’s head and fired a round.
This led authorities to have the Manitowoc County SWAT team respond.
SWAT team members made entry into the home, where they took the man into custody.
He was transported to the Manitowoc County jail, where he is being held on charges of battery, reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and strangulation.
