Theda Star called to transport crash victim near Oshkosh

Winnebago County authorities are investigating a serious crash on Highway 91 just west of Oshkosh Monday, January 20, 2025. Just after noon they received reports of a semi vs SUV crash.

Upon arrival, officers found the semi, which was a tanker truck, on it’s side in the ditch leaking diesel fuel and the driver trapped inside. Fire fighters were able to extricate the driver and he was transported to a level one trauma center by ThedaStar medical helicopter.

The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital by Oshkosh ambulance. Both patients were the only people in their vehicles.

It hasn’t been reported how the crash occurred or the patients conditions.
