ThedaCare annual walk event to support families impacted by pregnancy and infant loss

ThedaCare will host an event Sunday designed to bring families and friends together to honor babies who have died and provide support to families dealing with pregnancy or infant loss.

“A Walk to Remember” will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve in Appleton. Registration is from 10 to 10:30.

The event includes a short walk to a tree-planting ceremony, along with music and a brief meditation. Participating families will have the opportunity to plant a tree in memory of their baby.

The event is part of local observances of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and is supported by ThedaCare’s Resolve Through Sharing bereavement program.

Bereavement coordinators and a chaplain will also be available for anyone seeking additional support.
