Trial dates set for two suspected in Elijah Vue murder

Trial dates have been set for the two involved in the death of Elijah Vue, the 3-year-old boy from Manitowoc County whose disappearance in February 2024 sparked a massive, months-long search, ultimately turning into a homicide investigation after his skeletal remains were discovered by a deer hunter in September 2024.

Manitowoc County Judge Anthony Lambrecht set the trial for 40-year-old Jesse Vang and 32-year-old Katrina Baur for April 14th through the 30th of 2027.

Vang faces charges including physical assault of a child, causing death, hiding a corpse, chronic neglect of a child, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Baur is charged with chronic child neglect, consequence is death, child neglect, and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer.
