Two People Dead In Chilton, Police Chief Says Public Not In Danger

An investigation in on-going into the deaths of two people in Chilton.

Two people were found dead Wednesday (1/19/2022) shortly before 9:30 a.m. on N. Madison Street.

The identities of the deceased have not been released, and no further information or details have been released as of Thursday morning.

According to a statement by Chilton Chief of Police Craig Plehn, released on the Chilton PD Facebook page, the investigation is a death investigation and is ongoing, but that there is no danger to the public.

Plehn also said they are working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice-DCI, Calumet County Sheriff’s Department, Calumet County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and the Calumet County DA’s Office.
