Vandalism reported at High Cliff State Park
Authorities in Calumet County along with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are looking for suspects in a recent vandalism incident at High Cliff State Park earlier this week.
According to the group Friends of High Cliff State Park, Vandals reportedly spray-painted graffiti onto two of the park’s iconic cliffs. The announcement came on Monday, January 6, 2025, though it wasn’t mentioned when it was thought the graffiti was done.
The rock formation that was spray painted is part of the Niagara Escarpment which is a a wall of rock that spans from Dodge County north through the U.P. of Michigan, into southeast Ontario and back into up state New York. Its most notable as the rock formation that the Niagara Falls flows over on the Canada US border near Buffalo.
