Wildfire risks increase with no rain in area
Weeks of no rain in the area is taking it’s toll on outdoor fire conditions which, according to the Wisconsin DNR has the eastern half of Wisconsin, as well as northern counties in a moderate fire risk for wild fires. Southwest Wisconsin has been elevated to a high risk.
A persistent weather pattern has kept the area rain free and with above normal temperatures but a cold front associated with a weather system moving up into Canada will offer some brief relief with some possible rainfall today and tonight before things turn dry again as another high pressure makes it’s way into the area.
Residence are urged to use caution when doing any outdoor burning or doing activities that may cause sparks.
