Wildhorse Productions & Sandburr Rodeo toTake Over Oshkosh Arena With 2-Day Indoor Rodeo

The Oshkosh Arena has announced two days of rodeo February 27 and 28. The following as a press release about the event.

Let the Battle for the Lake begin! Get ready for the ultimate rodeo showdown when Wildhorse Productions and Sandburr Rodeo Productions bring high-energy rodeo action indoors,
to the Oshkosh Arena on Friday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 28 (Kids Night).

With strong community support from local sponsors, including Theisen’s (presenting sponsor), this is a must-see for rodeo fans of all ages.

Preferred customer pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14. Tickets are available online through the Oshkosh Arena Ticketmaster page or in person at the box office (Gate A), 1212 S. Main St., Oshkosh, beginning at 10 a.m. with the exception of Sundays and Mondays.

Rodeo attendees will enjoy the thrills of the following rodeo features:

Bareback Bronc Riding is one of rodeo’s most challenging events, where the rider must stay on a bucking horse for 8 seconds using only one hand.

Saddle Bronc Riding features a rider using a special saddle and braided rein to stay on a bucking horse for 8 seconds.

Ranch Bronc Riding features everyday cowboys, rather than pro riders, on a bucking horse for 8 seconds.

Bull Riding challenges riders to stay on a bucking bull for 8 seconds without touching the bull, themselves or their equipment with their free hand.

Barrel Racing is a fast-paced event where riders and their horses race around 3 barrels in a cloverleaf pattern, aiming for the quickest time.

Rising Stars of Rodeo showcases the next generation of rodeo talent in classic competition categories.

Mutton Bustin’ is for kids 2 to 7 who weigh less than 60 lbs. with sign-ups taking place each performance from 5 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 28, is Kids Night and will feature free pony rides.
