Wisconsin Air National Guard to conduct training this week

As nice weather spreads over Wisconsin the next couple days, residents may hear an unusually greater than normal amount of rumbling coming from the skies, and if conditions are right, see jet contrails doing sharp turns, sometimes multiple times in the same area. This will be due to the Wisconsin Air National Guard doing training exercises in the skies over southern Wisconsin over the next 2 weeks.

The guard says they will be conducting evening training flights Monday through Thursday, March 11-14 and 18-21 and will be concluding at approx. 9:15 p.m.
While selected flight paths are designed to minimize noise to area residents, the sound will travel great distances and be heard to some extent over a large portion of the area.
