Wisconsin Aviators Indoor Football team to call Oshkosh home in 2027

The Oshkosh Arena will be getting a new tenant next year as the Wisconsin Aviators prepare to bring indoor football to the facility.

The team has announced an agreement with VenuWorks of Oshkosh to make the arena its home for the 2027 American Indoor Football season.

The Wisconsin Aviators were founded in 2023 and have already had success on the field. The team finished its 2024 regular season undefeated at 10-0 before winning the United Indoor Football Association championship in January of 2025.

The Wisconsin Aviators previously played their home games at the Sturtevant Sports Plex in Sturtevant.

The move to Oshkosh coincides with the team’s entry into the American Indoor Football league.

The organization says additional details about the 2027 schedule, tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in the coming months.

The team is also holding open tryouts November 21st at Sports Emporium in De Pere. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with tryouts running from noon until 4.
